Split Tech City is a community composed of well-intentioned and progressive companies, startups, associations, initiatives, institutions and individuals. Together we encourage and develop the IT sector of Split and the surrounding region.
Support our communityAnd we sure did celebrate those two years with a party! Yesterday evening we got together at a new cool place in town – Re.Split coworking – for a discussion or two about startup life and entrepreneurship, a slice or two of pizza, and a few beers.
A true “Locals’n’Nomads” birthday celebration!
For this special occasion, we have joined forces with the Student Business Incubator and their fantastic STup! international university startup competition that is happening this year as part of the University Green Digital HUB project.
Because collaborative meetups are totally our thing!
Therefore, this edition of “Locals’n’Nomads” offered an exciting mix of innovation, startups, and passion for entrepreneurship setting the right vibe for the fabulousness of this year’s STup! competition that is taking place as this brief overview is being written.
(And indeed it is fabulous because we heard some really great ideas being pitched here!)
This time “Locals’n’Nomads” had a bit of an entrepreneurial side with a brief workshop where we had a few startup-themed discussion prompts with several groups of attendees getting to know each other by discussing said prompts.
Got the minds churning a few ideas… before we made a party of it with pizza and beer! 😉
The original idea behind “Locals’n’Nomads” was always to create connections between various individuals and every meetup we have held so far turned that goal into a reality. This makes us happy and keeps us going!
And it’s also the most beautiful part of “Locals’n’Nomads”. 🙂
We’re happy we got to celebrate this meetup in such a great way and would like to thank our friends from Student Business Incubator for collaborating with us and making us feel young, as well as the fantastic Re.Split coworking team for hosting us and making sure the meetup went without a hitch.
And of course – big thanks to all the attendees who joined us in celebrating “Locals’n’Nomads”, mutual connections, exciting innovations, and the bright future Split’s tech community is building!
See you at the next “Locals’n’Nomads”!
