Split Tech City is a community composed of well-intentioned and progressive companies, startups, associations, initiatives, institutions and individuals. Together we encourage and develop the IT sector of Split and the surrounding region.
Support our communityAt this point, the entire program of the Split Tech City Festival #InternationalDay has been revealed. 🙂
(Edit on September 1st: The sentence above was incorrect. But this Petar Preradović quote isn’t: “Only change is permanent in this world.” Lots of love from the ever-adaptable Split Tech City team! 😀 )
On September 9th in the marvelous Bačvice Open-Air Cinema you will hear many interesting things about a variety of different topics from our panelists, Aleks, and Andreas.
However, we did not want to stop there! That’s where the #SplitTechCityFestival pre-program comes in. And this year’s pre-program will feature our newest event: Split Startups Meetup.
Split Startups Meetup is organized together with the hardworking team from the Student Business Incubator and is a once-per-quarter event that connects the local startup ecosystem and provides some additional inspiration through its lectures and panel discussions.
So far, Split Startups Meetup has been held in February and May, and now it’s time for its #STCFestival version! 😀
The Festival edition of Split Startups Meetup will be dedicated to young people and all those who feel that way. So we expect a full house (or full Bačvice Open-Air Cinema as the case may be)! This edition will also slightly deviate from its standard format of panel discussion + lecture + networking.
Because we planned two different things for you and we’re ready to reveal the details of the first one titled: “Am I Too Young to Be Taken Seriously?” 😉
This particular panel discussion will reveal to us the pain points and the benefits of youth in entrepreneurship and business in general. Is there such a thing as “too young”? Is it a hindrance or a benefit? Is this issue only present in the eye of the beholder and/or the society’s point of view or are we sometimes indeed too young for some things?
These and many other questions will be answered by our panelists:
They will expertly navigate the forest of questions posed in the pine forest of the Bačvice Open-Air Cinema guided by the best guide for these occasions – Michael Freer, social entrepreneur (ENSOCO & DonatQR) and youth enthusiast (Jedna Mladost).
Are you ready to be inspired?! And to say: “To hell with what society thinks is best – I’m NOT too young!”? 😀
We think you are and are looking forward to seeing you in Bačvice Open-Air Cinema on September 9th, so get your ticket – and don’t miss out on the special discount for students!
See you at the Split Tech City Festival, younglings! 😉
