The program of this year’s Split Tech City Festival is starting to take shape and lots of inspiration will come from our speakers and panelists on both days of the Festival. As some of you already know, this is the third edition of the #STCFestival and the second year in a row we have included an International Day in its program.
So, on the 9th of September in the marvelous Bačvice Open-Air Cinema you can attend the #STCFestival International Day for your dose of inspiring stories and good vibes!
You already had the chance to be introduced to Andreas and the panelists of this year’s Split Tech City Festival, so the time has come to meet the next #SplitTechCityFestival speaker – Dr. Aleks Jakulin.
Aleks is a co-founder and Chief Innovation Officer of Katalys, a MarTech company based in San Diego, California. He’s also a chairman of the board of trustees of Sledilnik, a data science society in Slovenia. He was a professor of Statistics at Columbia University in New York, won awards for his AI research, and co-authored the two most popular image formats on the Internet.
Aleks will step on the stage of this year’s Split Tech City Festival to deliver the talk: “The Future of Marketing”.
When asked what we can expect from this particular talk, this is what Aleks shared with us: “There has been a huge revolution in marketing thanks to search engines, social media, and targeted advertising. This gave rise to the direct-to-consumer (D2C) trend.
The party is over, this type of advertising has become expensive and progressively less effective. Many of the pioneering D2C companies are now struggling.
What is the future? A new approach is appearing, and it’s called commerce media. Commerce media is content we all love, but now seamlessly integrated with commerce.
There are 4 types of commerce media, and we’ll look at which types will work and which are destined to fail. The trick to success is a return to the basics and the pursuit of omni-win: marketing can be good and not evil.”
Prepare to be launched into the future of marketing together with Aleks and get your Festival ticket!
We’re looking forward to seeing you at #STCFestival2023 in the Bačvice Open-Air Cinema on September 9th for a big dose of inspiration, a lot of good vibes, mutual exploration of the future of marketing, and a great time overall! 😀
