Xcape is a luxury Colnago catamaran from Split, a two-deck vessel that, besides cruises and private trips, is becoming a venue for business gatherings, corporate events and networking at sea. Instead of yet another conference room or hotel lounge, teams and guests can get together surrounded by the sea, the islands and the sunset.

We talked to the Xcape team about how the idea came about, what the catamaran offers to event organisers and what to keep in mind when planning.

How did the idea come about to turn the luxury Colnago Xcape catamaran into a venue for business gatherings, not just charters and private trips?

The idea of turning a vessel like this into a platform for business gatherings and events came as our response to the growth of the corporate events sector, and as a way to offer something new, different and authentic.

What does the catamaran offer that other luxury networking venues in Split cannot (deck space, interior, equipment, atmosphere)?

Above all, the catamaran offers a unique atmosphere and a unique setting, which is without exception one of the top priorities for anyone organising a business gathering or any corporate event. Besides the content of the event itself, what stays in everyone’s memory is the setting and the atmosphere in which it takes place. A catamaran like this creates a unique effect and a unique, personalised ambience that is sure to impress all guests, invitees, partners and employees – and that is exactly one of the main goals of every business event.

How many people can realistically fit comfortably for a business-type event?

The vessel has a capacity of 140 people in full comfort across two decks, with a modular layout and space organisation that can be adapted to each event.

Are there any seasonal limitations or logistical details the community should keep in mind when planning?

There are no particular logistical limitations apart from the guest capacity itself. The vessel is fully self-sufficient in terms of food and drink service and installed audio and video equipment, and anything additional can be added at the client’s request, depending on the needs of the event.

I would definitely recommend to all community members who are planning an event to consider the Xcape catamaran as an option that will certainly not leave their guests and invitees indifferent, and that will give them a premium experience and a unique combination of cruising and business networking.
