Guess what?! “Locals’n’Nomads” has been around for a full year! For an entire year, rain or shine, restricted by the pandemic measures or free to gather and enjoy ourselves, we have managed to get together once a month. 🙂
Throughout the “Locals’n’Nomads” meetups that Split Tech City has organized so far, we have managed to not only provide the locals and digital nomads with a place and time to meet and connect, but we also support a charitable effort, explore Split’s enchanting city center, learn a word or two of Croatian, have hackathon-worthy fun with Hack4Split, and prepare for Sudamja, Split’s biggest celebration.
Considering all this, we know you are wondering what we have in mind for the celebratory first birthday of the “Locals’n’Nomads” meetup. What we have planned is – another collaboration! 😀
This time, we are joining forces with the Student Business Incubator and their fantastic STup! international student startup competition. How?
By organizing a startup-themed lecture followed by some good old networking!
The 12th “Locals’n’Nomads” meetup will happen next Thursday, June 16th, at Smartspace workspace in Split’s city center. Our start time is 18:00 and that’s when Bartosz Weryho will deliver his startup-themed lecture.
Don’t be late if you want to catch a good spot! 😉
Another fantastic news is that Andreas Spechtler, founder and CEO of Silicon Castles, will announce his future plans for Split and its startup ecosystem at “Locals’n’Nomads”.
Now, if the fantastic lecture and the exciting announcement aren’t enough to get you to Smartspace at 18:00 next Thursday, we’re definitely sure this will – the networking!
The original idea behind “Locals’n’Nomads” is to create connections.
That hasn’t changed since meetup number one! And it won’t change now. 🙂
So, we invite you all – from digital nomads, internationals, and locals to students, startup enthusiasts, and startup-curious, as well as all others – to come to the meetup and celebrate with us!
Celebrate connections, innovations, and the bright future our community is building for Split!
