The time has come… for the fourth Split Startups Meetup in collaboration with our friends from the hardworking Student Business Incubator. After the first three editions in February, May, and the pre-program edition during the Split Tech City Festival in September, we decided to wrap this year up with this event.
And right off the bat – an interesting change: the fourth edition of Split Startups Meetup has a sponsor! Therefore, we have to thank the wonderful SeekandHit team for deciding to support us by providing a space to host this meetup, as well as drinks for the participants.
This particular collaboration came about as a result of the first edition of Split Startups Meetup when Mario Frančešević, founder and CEO of SeekandHit, was one of the panelists of the panel titled “Leaving Croatia without leaving Croatia”.
He liked the meetup enough to offer his support and – here we are! Now, that’s what we call the magic of networking and coming together as a community!

Now, how about some basic information regarding this particular edition of Split Startups Meetup?
We will all get together at the SeekandHit offices (Put Brodarice 6) next Tuesday, December 12, at 19:00. You can sign up to attend by filling out this form.

The topic of the panel discussion is business storytelling in short.
If you want a longer explanation… well, during many startup competitions, we noticed some issues with startups struggling to pitch their ideas. We decided to give you a helping hand regarding these pitching problems with this particular panel titled: “Tell Me a Tale of What You Do!”
The panel will be moderated by our much-adored Split Startups Meetup host Michael Freer and will host the following experts in the field of telling a good story:
This will be followed by a fireside chat that will eliminate all your pains, troubles, and fears related to taxes and accounting.
Led by our host Michael, this fireside chat – aptly named “Accounting and Taxes Without Pain and Suffering” – will have an expert in this particular field who will be answering some important questions related to taxes and accounting with a focus on startups and small businesses.
Our chosen expert for this particular task is Zoja Stevović, co-founder of Kancelarija and part of its wonderful team.
The ladies from Kancelarija sure know how to work that tax and accounting magic – we even highlighted that fact recently! So we have no doubts about Zoja’s abilities to help untangle the tax and accounting tangles startups teams might struggle with during her fireside chat with Michael.

An additional bonus of this edition is the previously mentioned startup-themed Christmas raffle. As any good Santa Claus does, we’ll keep the present(s) a secret until the raffle is completed.
