The informative fun of Five Question Friday by Expat in Croatia!

Split Tech City

12.10.2023.

There’s one great team of people who are doing great things for all internationals interested in moving to Croatia – the Expat in Croatia squad! For years now they’ve been a go-to resource for anyone navigating the labyrinths of MUP’s rules and regulations or having unanswered questions about anything related to Croatia and life here.

And our mutual collaboration is also not a secret because the EIC founder Sara took part in both, the Women In Tech Meetup and the Split Tech City Festival. 😀

And now’s the time for another as we’re going to join Sara to talk a bit about Split’s tech community at the upcoming Five Question Friday Instagram live tomorrow at 17:00 sharp. For those of you who don’t know yet about the fabulousness of #FQF, here’s what it’s all about!

Every Friday at 17:00 (5 pm) Croatia time, Sara goes live on Instagram to answer questions that have been sent to the Expat in Croatia team.

The questions are asked on the team’s Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), or via email, their website, the consulting sessions they do, and even by people who recognize Expat in Croatia team members on the street and stop them to ask something.

If you have a question, you can always submit it via the form the EIC team has created especially for those purposes. They also believe there is no question too mundane or too weird – they’ll answer it all, so feel free to challenge them.

And, they’ll say that no question is too crazy, or too bureaucratic – but admit they do really love weird ones. 😉

One of the Expat in Croatia team’s favorite questions actually came from an 11-year-old Croatian who asked if he was allowed to dye his hair, or if it was against the law. Apparently, his mom said it was against the law, so he turned to the internet to find out if this was indeed true. (Kudos for the resourcefulness, kid!) 😀

Aside from answering any and all questions, Sara also uses this opportunity to make important or interesting announcements, share what is going on with Expat in Croatia, give you a behind-the-scenes peek at how the team does its bureaucratic magic, and sometimes she also has fun guests who answer specific questions. (And, at least according to Michael Freer, bring rakija to cheer!)

If you’re curious about previous Five Question Friday episodes, head to the Expat in Croatia Instagram and even this special #FQF YouTube playlist. You may find your question already answered, or get inspired to ask some new ones the EIC team can then tackle in the upcoming episodes.

So, tune in to Expat in Croatia Instagram live tomorrow at 17:00 – who knows what questions we’ll answer (and how much fun we’ll have)! 😉
