In Mediterranean Tech Hub news: Technology Park Split opens its doors

Split Tech City

01.08.2024.

Last week we witnessed the ceremonial opening of the central building of the Split Technology Park. This magnificent building, which covers more than 17,000 square meters, was decorated and equipped as part of several projects worth a total of almost 30 million euros.

Considering these numbers, it is no wonder that there has been a long-standing debate about whose contribution to this successfully realized project is greater.

However, just as modern offices are not enough for budding entrepreneurs and successful companies to develop, neither is a huge building full of successful startups only at the local or regional level not enough for a city that aspires to be and is working towards becoming a Mediterranean Tech Hub.

Between the walls

Regarding the Technology Park Split, we are mostly looking forward to everything except the building: the programs that the Development Agency Split – RaST and its partners will make available to its tenants and the interested public, as well as the ideas and collaborations that will be created there as a result.

Of course, all of this should be done while keeping in mind the strategic plans and a clearly defined vision of Split’s growth, where one day there will be room for “little things” such as the access road from the surrounding neighborhoods and satisfactorily solved public transport solution from the city center to Dračevac – the location of Split Technology Park.

Congratulations once again on the opening of the Split Technology Park to everyone who was involved in this complex process, especially two women: Antonija Eremut Erceg and the RaST Development Agency, as well as the project manager Andrea Racetin Muše.

Well done and good luck with all future projects!

Open for tours and renters

In the first 48 hours from the announcement of the Open Day Tours, Technology Park Split received more than 100 applications for a tour of the newly opened innovation hub in the Dračevac area.

The huge demand at the very start is proof that Split truly lacked a complex where entrepreneurs can develop their innovative solutions, but also confirmation that our city will continue to position itself on the IT map of the region and even the world.

All interested entrepreneurs can register for a tour of the Split Technology Park as part of the Open Days that run from July 24 to August 23.

The open days are designed in such a way as to provide a physical insight into the premises of the facility and are grouped according to groups of interested entities.

On the official website of Split Technology Park, among other useful information, you can also find documentation that clarifies the conditions for entrepreneurs to apply for the use of TPS services and a guide for better and more timely preparation for applying for public calls that will be active from August 19.

We hope to see this venue flourish and truly contribute to Split’s tech and entrepreneurial community!

p.s. The perfect chance to hang out and be inspired together with Split’s tech community is on 6 and 7 September at the Bačvice Open-Air Cinema during the 4th Split Tech City Festival. 😉
We’re waiting for you!
