Split Tech City is a community composed of well-intentioned and progressive companies, startups, associations, initiatives, institutions and individuals. Together we encourage and develop the IT sector of Split and the surrounding region.
Support our communityThe company Flying Penguin was launched before the summer of 2017 by Vedran Leba and Tonči Jukić and deals with services in the IT sector and related markets.
“We started a few years ago to help with an interesting project of our first real partner, Laplacian. To this day, we are successfully operating and growing as a fully export company.”
They provide development services, assistance in the development and implementation of service infrastructure in the cloud, and on their own solutions.
“Projects on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud are our primary platforms for implementing IoT, IaC, and SRE solutions.”
In addition to the above, they provide specialist design, optimization, and product development services for projects that include artificial intelligence and machine learning, as well as computer graphics for projects such as video games and architecture visualization or auto/auro sector projects.
“We place a strong emphasis on the robustness and performance of complex time-critical and mission-critical products, which has been recognized by many of our customers.”
Vedran Lebo manages the infrastructure, and Tonči Jukić the development niche of the business. This synergy of two strong and focused segments opens up various interesting opportunities for them, they say.
Although they are primarily oriented towards exporting services and products, they do not exclude the possibility that a sufficiently interesting and challenging project will one day appear on the domestic market:
“We believe in the bright future of the Croatian economy, with a growth that will create more and more opportunities.”
They cannot single out any project as the most important because they equally provide all clients and partners with the service they need to achieve their goals.
“So far, we have collaborated on several successful small and large global projects, often with many different partners.”
Doing business in a dynamic world of development and development support in IT offers many challenges. However, one of the most prominent problems is finding experienced and reliable partners in some projects, as there is a lack of resources in the global labor market in a competitive environment of continuous growth, even in years of crisis.
They point out that traditional forms of employment aren’t at the forefront for them, but they are not closed off towards that possibility either.
“Depending on the project and specific needs, we have permanent partners with whom we work continuously or periodically to achieve common goals.”
As their main goal, they emphasize maintaining the level of satisfaction of clients and partners, as well as progressing in all aspects of business where progress is optimal.
“We expect that last year’s trends of increasing market challenges will continue for the sector and our business and that, due to the rapid jump in needs in an increasingly digital and connected world, the development dynamics will be somewhat higher in the context of organization and implementation.”
Split Tech City wishes them the fulfillment of all their goals, and we are looking forward to future cooperation.
