Last week’s tech.coffee meetup in Split turned into something bigger than a typical fireside chat.

What started as a conversation between Jordan Lunetta and Toni Trivković quickly evolved into a raw, open discussion with the audience. Stretching well beyond the planned schedule as people kept jumping in with questions, experiences, and reflections of their own.

Jordan shared stories from every stage of his journey: from starting a DJ business at 12 in the Bay Area, to moving to Berlin without a technical background, to helping scale Delivery Hero during its IPO years and later building across ventures like Kiro, ODIN, and Viessmann. But what resonated most wasn’t just the startup success stories: it was the honesty behind them.

If there’s one story that perfectly captured the idea that luck happens when ambition meets opportunity, it was Jordan’s six-month quest as a young and inexperienced outsider trying to land a role at a company he deeply admired. Long before the titles, IPOs, and leadership roles, there was simply persistence.

Showing up, following up, and refusing to take “not yet” as a final answer.

The conversation naturally moved beyond startups into topics like resilience, reinvention, intrapreneurship inside large corporations, and knowing when to persist versus when to pivot. At some point, the “fireside chat” format disappeared completely and the room turned into an open discussion between founders, operators, creatives, and curious builders sharing perspectives with each other.

And of course, good conversations need good refreshments, with craft beer from Tap B Craft Brewery helping keep the networking flowing long after the official agenda ended.

Thanks to everyone who joined us and made the evening what it was. Catch you at the next one.
