Split Tech City is a community composed of well-intentioned and progressive companies, startups, associations, initiatives, institutions and individuals. Together we encourage and develop the IT sector of Split and the surrounding region.
Support our communityWe are definitely happy to report that another “Locals’n’Nomads” meetup was held and managed to bring some cheerful positivity and good spirit to everyone who attended! As it was announced, we gathered at D16 Coffee Shop to hang out together and have a few drinks.
We are accustomed to having a mixed group of people attending “Locals’n’Nomads” meetups, and this time it was no different with both locals, as well as nomads in attendance.
We also had the youngest meetup attendee ever!
Now that this cute little guy attended, we hope it is clear that “Locals’n’Nomads” is also a family-friendly event because we are keeping both the atmosphere and the meetup agenda very relaxed. This is especially important for nomads traveling with children. We know that finding childcare in a new city can be challenging, so we totally understand the need to bring your little one with you.
When it comes to the world’s youth, we can say for sure that our group of high school students has become regulars at “Locals’n’Nomads” which makes us very happy, indeed.
This time they got to chat with Barbara, another regular, about so many things: from the school system here in Croatia, over the way things are taught in the USA where she used to teach, to requirements for studying abroad after high school as well as other various educational possibilities.
It seems like they (unknowingly) stuck to the Split Tech City theme of the month titled ‘The Sea of Learning’!
As you already know, Split Tech City works daily to gather the local tech community together and to also include digital nomads and internationals. Considering some ideas we had for this year, we invite you to continue following our work and keep an eye on possible interesting changes we might make to the concept of “Locals’n’Nomads” in the future.
We are glad we managed to make another meetup happen and would like to thank the D16 Coffee Shop team for their hospitality.
Looking forward to seeing you at the next “Locals’n’Nomads”!
