We’re ready for the November edition of the “Locals’n’Nomads” meetup! 😀

And it will be another collaborative effort. This time we’ll be aligning the theme of the meetup with Global Entrepreneurship Week and presenting you with an interesting #TechForGood app!

That is the reason why, during this meetup, we’ll be joining forces with the DonatQR team with whom we’re already collaborating on a very interesting project: Digital Volunteer Community.

The project

The overall goal of the Digital Volunteer Community project is to aid the digitization and transformation of civil society organizations in the field of organization and management of volunteer activities.

The Digital Volunteer Community project is financed by grants totaling HRK 462,648.00, with HRK 393,250.80 HRK coming from the ESF and HRK 69,397.20 being covered from the state budget through the call “Strengthening the capacity of CSOs for responding to the needs of the local community“.

Through this Digital Volunteer Community project lasting 14 months, until the end of May 2023, a whole series of free educational activities are planned to strengthen the capacity of employees and volunteers in CSOs.

One of the most important aspects of this project is the application that is currently being developed by the DonatQR team.

The app

The application will systemize and automate three types of campaigns. The ultimate goal is for the CSOs to be able to utilize the app to create campaigns for financial donations, physical donations, and volunteer actions.

It will also help potential donors and volunteers to find their cause more easily, and donate their funds, goods, or time without too much hassle.

Therefore, we thought a really good opportunity to present this #TechForGood app to a wider audience would be as part of the “Locals’n’Nomads” meetup!

The meetup

That’s why we’re happy to invite you all – international or local, young and less so, into tech or tech-curious, already a part of a CSO or just now willing to join one – to join us at this edition of “Locals’n’Nomads”!

The meetup will start on Wednesday, November 16th, at 18:00 and the place you need to be at is The Works coworking. 😀

We’ll be providing drinks and a short presentation of the app in question in both Croatian and English. The presentations will take place from 18:15 to 18:45 and after that is networking time!

Please note that the sign-up for this meetup is mandatory.

All you have to do is click this link and sign up! 😉

See you at “Locals’n’Nomads”!

Researching is woven into my DNA, but I am a musician at heart. Interested in too many things and always curious. Forever in love with Split and enchanted by people who teach me new things. When I am not creating content about Split's tech community, you will find me in singing rehearsals, somewhere in nature, in the theater, or with my head stuck in a book. I do my best to live by the verse from the opera "Fedora" by Umberto Giordano: "Love forbids you not to love."
