Have you ever wondered what might happen if you combine a productive brainstorming session with a typical summer vacation day? We’ve got the answer for you: the Full-Funnel Academy International B2B Marketing Meetup!

Yesterday the Split Tech City team had the chance to participate in this event that was a great learning opportunity for us. You might think it is odd that an Association would take part in a round-table discussion on B2B (business-to-business) marketing.

However, we have learned a lot of things that can also be applied to marketing the work Split Tech City does on a daily basis. That is because marketing is not just the “tip of the iceberg” you see. When you really dive deeper and try to understand it better, it turns out to be much larger in scope and more complex than it appears.

Andrei Zinkevich and Vladimir Blagojević, who spent 30 years in total growing B2B businesses, are the founders of Fullfunnel.io and also the “masterminds” behind this meetup. Their idea was to combine work and enjoyment on a lovely summer day in Split.

We would definitely say they have succeeded in doing so! From a very interesting brainstorming session during the morning, over trying some very tasty local dishes for lunch and swimming in the crystal clear Adriatic afterward, to ice-cold beers in good company in the evening, they made sure every participant lives Split’s famous work-life balance to the fullest.

Another great thing about the Full-Funnel Academy community Andrei and Vlad have gathered is the willingness of every community member to share their skills and knowledge with others. This was very evident during the morning’s productive discussion as every participant, no matter their experience or exact field of work, had something important to contribute: knowledge gained from their personal experiences, new ideas, or different points of view on the same topic. Time literally flew by, which is known to happen when one talks about something he or she is passionate about.

We would like to thank Andrei and Vlad for organizing the meetup here in Split and inviting us to take part. Big thanks also go to the other participants: Alexandra, Daniel, and Ricardo. We have learned a lot from all the different points of view they had about the topics that were discussed.

Hopefully, this will be just the first of many future meetups of this kind in Split!

Researching is woven into my DNA, but I am a musician at heart. Interested in too many things and always curious. Forever in love with Split and enchanted by people who teach me new things. When I am not creating content about Split's tech community, you will find me in singing rehearsals, somewhere in nature, in the theater, or with my head stuck in a book. I do my best to live by the verse from the opera "Fedora" by Umberto Giordano: "Love forbids you not to love."
