01.06.2024.

On May 23 and 24, more than 2000 young people and experts from the tech industry gathered at FESB in Split because the members of the DUMP Association of Young Developers organized the eighth edition of a free two-day conference for studentsDUMP Days.

This year DUMP Days visitors had the opportunity to listen to 14 lectures on different topics – from development to design and marketing. 😀

By far the greatest interest was in the lecture on artificial intelligence, which was held by professor Saša Mladenović, while the lecture by the famous Croatian entrepreneur Daniel Ackermann, where he shared useful tips for starting a startup, was the best rated.

Students were very interested in how to write a good CV and pass a technical interview, so they applied in large numbers to the NeoGov Croatia workshop.

As many as 28 tech companies presented their projects and summer internship programs to students at their stands which were part of the DUMP Days expo section. 🙂

Split Tech City stand was among them and we used this opportunity to inform young people about the possibilities of volunteering for Split Tech City, about the tours of the tech companies that we organize, as well as about the fourth edition of the Split Tech City Festival due to take place this September.

It is also worth noting that in the first ten hours after the announcement, all places at Fly Talks were filled.

Making these one-on-one eight-minute-long job interviews, where students apply for one of nine groups of companies and present themselves to each of them in search of their first job, a hit part of this year’s DUMP Days program.

Undoubtedly, the biggest attraction of this year’s edition is Slavica – the DUMP Days duck. 😉

As part of the marketing campaign for DUMP Days, she traveled around the University – every day the DUMP Days team took her to a different location, she traveled by bus to Kopilica to visit the Department of Professional Studies and on the roof of the car back to the main campus!

Same as the previous years, DUMP Days was organized by members of the DUMP Association with the support of FESB.

Now this hardworking and creative team will take a short break from DUMP-related activities to rest a bit and then deal with their exam deadlines. This will be followed by preparations for the traditional free lecture cycle at the DUMP Association.

Dear DUMP magicians, congratulations on another excellent edition of DUMP Days, and – we can’t wait for the next one! 😀
