women in tech meetup

Women in Tech is a type of event that creates additional space for women experts in the tech industry. At the same time, it’s important to emphasize that this is not an exclusive space, but an inclusive one. Everyone is welcome.

The goal is simple: to highlight expertise, open up meaningful conversations, and create an environment where diverse perspectives in tech can be seen, heard, and shared.

We always have a blast, check out the last one.

Join us on April 9th at 17:00 (5pm) at Technology Park Split. Registrations are open via Luma.

Jedsy: What It Takes to Build at the Intersection of Aviation, Hardware, Software, and Regulation

In this talk, Vickie Brennan goes beyond the surface of what it means to build a drone startup like Jedsy. Rather than focusing only on the drone itself, the session explores how the company operates at the intersection of multiple highly complex areas: aviation, regulation, route certification, hardware, manufacturing, software, automation, pilot training, and funding.

Framed through the idea of an orchestra, she highlights how many moving parts – each with different timelines and risks – must come together in harmony at startup speed for the company to survive and grow before running out of money.

Can Digital Transformation Actually Succeed?

In this talk, Tanja Krasić explores how the phrase “digital transformation” means something different to everyone within a company: management sees a risky strategic project and a major investment, IT sees years of integrations and a wishlist of unrealistic demands, while operations see an intense project, team reductions, and expectations to deliver even more — even though transformation often ends up solving only a fraction of the original problems.

Through more than a decade of experience in regional telecoms and the insurance industry, she shares insights from transformations seen from the inside — both the successful ones and those that remained stuck in PowerPoint.

Tanja brings concrete lessons on what transformation really means in practice, why it often gets stuck, where real improvements that make people’s work easier actually happen, and where smaller tech companies can find their own opportunity.
