The official end of the fifth humanitarian cageball tournament Split Tech Cup took place just a few days before Christmas when we handed over the laptops to the Maestral Community Service Center.

The fifth Split Tech Cup brought together 24 teams made up of local IT professionals:

Adriatic.hr, AGILO, Aspira, Blank, Caelor, CloudSense, CodeMage, Dotien, DRACO, Ericsson Nikola Tesla, FEG, GetByBus, Gol u gostima, HILLS, IT Sistemi by ASEE, Kàko Magazin, Laplacian, Maurer1, Maurer2, RE.SPLIT, Sharp Agency, Studion 1, Studion 2, and Vizual.

7200 euros were collected, and thanks to special discounts provided by our partner HGSPOT, we acquired as many as 18 laptops for the needs of the Maestral Community Service Center.

“We are grateful and happy that Split Tech City chose the Maestral Community Service Center to donate laptops this year. Over 50 school-age children and 6 other young people live with us, and every day 60 school-age children from at-risk families come to the half-day care service.

They all need to use computers for their homework, so these laptops will be handy.

We will give one laptop to a high school graduate currently preparing her graduation thesis, and we will distribute the rest to our 10 locations. Once again, thank you all for your participation!” said Jelena Burazin, director of Maestral.

The children who welcomed us were delighted with the laptops, and we believe that they will be even more so by the workshops that volunteers from the Association of Young Developers DUMP will traditionally hold.
