Split Tech City is a community composed of well-intentioned and progressive companies, startups, associations, initiatives, institutions and individuals. Together we encourage and develop the IT sector of Split and the surrounding region.
Support our communityYesterday evening there was quite a cheerful crowd at Pub Garden Academic – relaxed and laughing while enjoying good food, cooling drinks, and great company. Who were these lucky ones?
Well, Split Startups Meetup attendees, of course! 😀
This particular meetup is always a collaborative effort with the hardworking team from the Student Business Incubator. However, for this edition, we doubled these collaborative efforts by making our startup-themed meetup part of this year’s STup! international university startup competition.
In a very busy week full of workshops, mentoring sessions, lectures, and competition preparations, we decided to offer some hustle-vs-chill balance! 😉
This famed work-life balance is also a lesson to be learned by these up-and-coming entrepreneurs who came to STup! competition from all over the world hoping to kickstart their projects and realize their dreams.
Achieving work-life balance allows entrepreneurs to effectively manage their professional and personal commitments, leading to improved overall well-being and satisfaction. It involves setting clear boundaries, prioritizing self-care, and finding ways to recharge and rejuvenate.
In this case, the recharging happened by attending the chillest version of Split Startups Meetup so far – no lectures and panel discussions about important startup themes, just networking and relaxing. 😉
By organizing a get-together that mixed innovation, startups, and passion for entrepreneurship we set the right vibe for the fabulousness of this year’s STup! competition that is organized by the Student Business Incubator of the Faculty of Economics in Split.
This edition of our favorite university startup competition is part of the University Green Digital HUB project and is being realized with the support of the City of Split, the European Maritime University Alliance (SEA-EU), the Croatian Bank for Reconstruction and Development (HBOR ) and the Croatian Agency for Small Business, Innovation, and Investments (HAMAG-BICRO).
The STup!2024 is ongoing and we wish the competing startups lots of luck and hope they’ll all bring home at least this:
a bunch of great memories from Split and fond memories of this edition of Split Startups Meetup! 😀
