We are delighted and proud that our Split Tech City community, alongside numerous companies, startups, associations, and coworking spaces, has been enriched by the newly opened Split Technology Park.

Ivan Samardžija, head of the Split Technology Park, revealed more about their work.

“Technology Park Split is an entrepreneurial-supporting infrastructure owned by the City of Split, established to provide support for the development of entrepreneurship, with a special focus on activities in the field of high technologies,” explained Ivan, pointing out the following:

Technology Park Split is a high-tech hub that brings together startups, entrepreneurs, individuals, and the scientific community and provides a platform for networking, exchange of ideas, and innovation.

The Technology Park Split is managed by the Development Agency Split – RaST, which, as part of the activities of the Technology Park Split, provides services to support the start-up and growth of innovative entrepreneurship through incubation and acceleration programs.

The central building of the Split Technology Park is located on the site of the former Dračevac barracks at the address Dračevac 3D, and its reconstruction and extension was co-financed by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund.

With the revitalization of the Dračevac zone, the neglected and unused building gets a new life and purpose through the conversion of its space into the capacities of the entrepreneurial infrastructure.

“Given that the Technology Park Split was officially opened only at the end of July this year, we are looking forward to all the new collaborations and projects that are yet to come. What we would like to emphasize is the great interest in the conference rooms within the facility and already several scheduled conferences and seminars on the topic of entrepreneurship,” Ivan shared.

Ivan explained to us the reasons for joining the Split Tech City community, pointing out that, considering our joint activities in the field of high technologies, their goal is to be integrated as much as possible into the local tech community and achieve multidisciplinary cooperation, through:

• possible future tenants who are members of the Split Tech City community
• joint networking and knowledge transfer events
• joint action towards external development stakeholders

“The priority of Technology Park Split is to create a unique center for research and development activities of local, regional, national, and, in the future, international companies – in the field of ICT – and we consider the Split Tech City community one of the key partners in this aspiration.”

Applications for future tenants of Split Technology Park started on September 2, and Ivan once again invited all interested companies in the field of high technologies to inform themselves about the conditions of the tender through their official website.

We also definitely recommend Split Technology Park, both for office space and coworking, as well as for participation in the incubation and accelerator programs they’re working on.
