Split Tech City

FinTech solutions have become the number one banking choice to numerous Europeans due to lower costs, easy access, speed, and quality of service, according to the latest analysis by McKinsey.

To harvest this potential, Money Motion – the largest FinTech conference in the region – is bringing together more than 35 globally recognized experts in banking, payments, financial technology, and crypto in Zagreb, on March 9th and 10th.

Why Money Motion?

“FinTech industry has contributed to the democratization of the payment ecosystem by creating added value for all parties involved: FinTech companies, banks, merchants, and especially end users.

Those banks, which have recognized the contribution to the growth and the modernization of the financial sector by financial technologies and have created a safe space for mutual collaboration, have also profited multiple times over”, says Petar Markač, Director of Global Transaction Banking OTP Bank in Croatia, one of the organizers of Money Motion 2023.

The leading FinTech names

The leading FinTech names on the market – ASEE, Monri, UBIK, Mastercard, and OTP Bank – have joined forces in organizing Money Motion to provide regional professionals and enthusiasts with a unique opportunity to talk with global experts, exchange experiences and knowledge, and create relevant business relationships.

Money Motion, in partnership with Nexi Group, is bringing true experts in their field from all over the world to discuss the present and the future of FinTech – one of the most disruptive technologies of our time.

What you can expect from Money Motion

Participants and visitors can expect two days of discovering the latest trends, challenges, and solutions at the intersection of the traditional financial market and the most modern technologies of this age.

“As a FinTech company operating on the global market from Croatia, we saw a space for a conference that would attract international experts to Croatia to discuss the present and the future of the industry together with local experts and those interested in banking, payment, and crypto in Zagreb”, shared Igor Gržalja, President of the Board in ASEE Croatia.

The FinTech startup competition

In addition to the main stage, the conference will also host a startup competition for the 10 best FinTech startups for a cash prize of 5 000 euros.

On the first day of the conference, each of the teams will present their solution in front of a 6-member jury panel and an audience that will include representatives of more than 10 investment companies.

Applications for startups are open until February 20th, and the list of selected teams will be announced on February 25th.

More information about the startup competition and the application form can be found on Money Motion’s official website.

Cooperation with FinTech

Petar Markač from OTP bank concludes: “In proportion to the growth of societal digitization, the need in the financial sector for faster, simpler, and more modern services also grows. On the one hand, this creates numerous opportunities and potential for the industry itself.

On the other hand, it creates a space for cooperation between FinTech and banks.

That is why it is important we cooperate with each other, exchange experiences, and comment on all the opportunities that are offered on the market. Money Motion is the perfect opportunity for that, so see you in Lauba!“

Startups, apply for the startup competition, and FinTech enthusiasts – don’t miss this great event! 😀
