What can we say – this whole “Locals’n’Nomads meeting once a month” thing is becoming somewhat of a tradition! Yesterday evening we welcomed autumn to Split with another successful meetup for Split’s digital nomads and locals.

For the first time ever, the nomads outnumbered the locals! That is to be expected, as locals did get their fair share of networking during the first Festival of Technology and Entrepreneurship held last week, so we will forgive them for sitting this one out.

An interesting thing was the appearance of Croatian digital nomads. While they live their digital nomad lifestyles abroad, they were curious about the point of view of digital nomads who chose Croatia as their destination.

And there is a lot Croatia, as well as Split, can offer to nomads: the digital nomad residence permit, as well as affordable digital nomad lifestyle combined with great weather and interesting local areas to explore, being the two most important things that immediately come to mind.

We were happy to see so many new faces last night and thoroughly enjoyed another evening spent meeting new people in the relaxed and friendly atmosphere of the Hotel Park outdoor terrace.

Seeing people enjoying themselves and connecting with one another was the whole idea behind the first and second “Locals’n’Nomads” meetup, so we are delighted to witness it happening again at the meetup’s third edition.

While we hung out together yesterday evening, many of you asked us if we plan on continuing with these meetups now that we are stepping into autumn and continuing towards the winter. The only thing we can promise is to do our best to keep gathering you all together.

However, as much as we avoided the sometimes scorching sunshine during the summer months by meeting in the evening, it seems that it is high time to follow the seasons and change our meeting time.

Therefore – expect a daytime meetup in the future!

No matter the changes in time and place, some things will remain the same when it comes to the “Locals’n’Nomads” meetup – all the positivity, the connections made, and its relaxed atmosphere.
