The Split Tech City and Jedna Mladost friendship is no secret. So, now that our youthful friends could use your help, we’re giving them a platform to share their requests. 🙂
“We are Jedna Mladost (One Youth) – a youth club for children aged 7 to 18 situated in Split, run by Sanja Kosor, Michael Freer, and Alen Marić.
We operate as a non-profit organization founded to promote informal forms of learning with an emphasis on developing leadership skills, entrepreneurship, and creative forms of learning in children under 18.
We organize gatherings and clubs, workshops, and courses related to life skills, entrepreneurship, science, mathematics, technology, and design.
One of our future goals was to have our own youth center. And now, due to several factors as well as a great opportunity that has presented itself, we suddenly find ourselves a couple of years ahead of schedule! 😀
The Jedna Mladost crew is now the proud tenants of an amazing space, which we will turn into a hive of youthful activity!
We will run our regular clubs and courses connected to STEM, graphic design, animation, videography, leadership, and entrepreneurship, and start introducing other elements that can ensure local youth have access to support for their personal, social, and academic needs.
We will host youth exchanges here, and workshops for youth workers, teachers, and parents. We will support other nonprofits who are just starting and share a bit of social entrepreneurship drive as well.
The kids will fill the space with energy, noise, and quite possibly some smells, but we need to fill it with everything a youth center needs to have. We compiled a list of everything we are hoping to buy and the milestones we are looking to reach. If, instead of donating money you can provide us with one of the items listed, please get in touch with us!”
