Why should you come to the Festival of Technology and Entrepreneurship?

During the past month, we have been slowly and steadily presenting the full agenda of the International Day of this year’s Festival of Technology and Entrepreneurship. Therefore, now the only thing that remains is to welcome you all to Bačvice Open-Air Cinema on September 9th! 🙂

But before that, here are some of the reasons to attend the #STCFestival!

How to start a global tech business in Croatia

This question will be answered during the panel discussion that will open the program of International Day. Frane Borozan (SysKit), Marko Kovač (Repsly), Morten Smalby (GetByBus), and Bruno Stojaković (PlaySafety) will be the ones who will answer it by sharing their experiences and knowhow under the watchful guidance of our moderator.

Aside from the intriguing questions that we will ask them, you also get to ask yours during the Q&A session. So, come prepared! 😉

Successful exit strategy and more

Next up on our schedule is the lecture “Start an agency and plan a successful exit strategy” that will be delivered by Prashant Vaz. Up-and-coming entrepreneurs, as well as seasoned professionals, will benefit from Prashant’s extensive and varied business experience.

The fact that he fell in love in Split enough to come to live here, do his business globally while living locally, and take part in our community is just an added bonus! 😉

Taking a deep breath

To be successful in anything we do, we have to nurture our minds as well as our bodies. Entrepreneurship and tech are no different. That’s why we invited Daniel Skoblar to help us unlock the superpower we’re all capable of utilizing to our benefit: breathing.

Being the first certified Wim Hof Method Instructor in Croatia there was no one better than Daniel to help us become superheroes in our own right. We’re sure you don’t want to miss out on that!

Data as a way to success

Omer Chehmer will come all the way from Israel in order to step onto the stage of our Festival and deliver the lecture about achieving success through data-driven culture. A passionate entrepreneur and product manager with extensive experience, Omer is also the co-founder of Bookaway Group, a platform that sells bus, ferry, and train tickets.

We expect to learn a lot from him about the implementation of a data-driven culture and how it can aid anyone’s business. Not only from his lecture, but also from the answers to the questions you’ll ask him during the Q&A!

Creativity in entrepreneurship

The program of the International Day will conclude with some Silicon Valley spirit right here in our Mediterranean Tech Hub through the lecture titled “Creativity, Entrepreneurship, and Hard Work” that will be delivered by Suren Markosian.

A serial entrepreneur at heart, Suren has successfully built and scaled several large consumer businesses in Silicon Valley, including Epic! – the largest digital reading platform for kids. We can hardly wait to learn from him during the Festival!

Quality over quantity and mere form

As you’ve seen from this program overview, we care more about quality content than mere form. We want you to leave the Festival with new knowledge and broadened horizons. We want you to be inspired, to learn new skills, to leave fulfilled and ready for new challenges.

We also take into account the fact that our Festival visitors are as varied as our tech community, so we did our best to come up with a program that will have something of interest for every single one of you sitting in the audience. 🙂

To make things a bit easier for you, we have also launched the landing page for the Festival of Technology and Entrepreneurship where you can easily find all the relevant information about it.

Community is the most important thing

And we saved the best reason to attend for last. Networking! Our Festival is a community event: organized by the community for the community.

This means the networking will be amazing and of equal importance as the program itself!

Additionally, we consider you a part of our community! By attending our Festival, you will be supporting the work Split Tech City does and the growth of Split’s tech ecosystem. And have a great time while you do it!

So, come and be a part of the #STCFestival magic! 😀

Go get your Festival ticket and see you at the Festival of Technology and Entrepreneurship!

Researching is woven into my DNA, but I am a musician at heart. Interested in too many things and always curious. Forever in love with Split and enchanted by people who teach me new things. When I am not creating content about Split's tech community, you will find me in singing rehearsals, somewhere in nature, in the theater, or with my head stuck in a book. I do my best to live by the verse from the opera "Fedora" by Umberto Giordano: "Love forbids you not to love."
