The Women in Energy (WiE) lecture will be held on November 28, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in hall A302 at the Faculty.
The organizers wish to invite all interested to join in, especially women involved in activities related to energy, either by occupation or other activities and work.
This interactive lecture will provide an opportunity to gain insight into the international business of the energy sector, as well as foster connections with experts from the industry.
The lecturers will be Khayakazi Dioka and Tara-Lee MacArthur.
As part of CIGRE and CIGRE WiE, both lecturers wish to invite all those interested to explore this topic further through lectures and to discover the latest news about the energy sector and the reasons why they chose this particular business path.
CIGRE stands for Conseil International des Grands Réseaux Électriques or the International Council for Large Power Systems. CIGRE is a professional association with headquarters in Paris and membership on all five continents.
CIGRE’s activities include the issue of power systems and components, i.e. the development, construction, operation, and maintenance of power plants and their components.
CIGRE has more than 12,000 members: scientists, academics, engineers, technicians, suppliers, and others, in more than 90 countries. The Croatian branch of the International Council for Large Power Systems, HRO CIGRE has been a member of CIGRE since 1951.
CIGRE WiE is a network that enables and helps women in the energy sector to connect, develop their careers, increase self-confidence, and improve their professional skills. Women in Engineering HRO CIGRE operates within the national branch, but is also part of the global network “Women in Energy CIGRÉ“.
