Split Tech City is a community composed of well-intentioned and progressive companies, startups, associations, initiatives, institutions and individuals. Together we encourage and develop the IT sector of Split and the surrounding region.
Support our communityBlockSplit 3, an international conference for the development of blockchain technology and business, shined bright here in Split during the two conference days on Tuesday and Wednesday!
The BlockSplit organizing team prepared a very interesting all-week program that started with the all-day workshops on Monday, followed by two conference and expo days, and combined with additional side-events: meetups, parties, sailing, etc.
Many well-known names of the world’s blockchain scene have attended: the BlockSplit lecturers and panelists were all part of an impressive lineup of top experts in blockchain, DeFi, NFT, DAO, and similar protocols.
The visitors also came from all over the world and, if the overall energy was any indicator, had a great time in Split and attending BlockSplit!
The primary goal of the conference is to bring together blockchain startups, developers, researchers, investors, marketers, designers, and everyone else interested in blockchain technology.
And that was exactly what BlockSplit did with all its educational content, the expo, the good food, and fine coffee that kept the networking and conversations going, as well as with parties that were so good and thus very, very difficult to leave! 😉
To learn what BlockSplit looked and felt like for the visitors, we asked Ivan Markov to share his experience with us. Ivan is an NFTartXpert who, with his NFT School For Artists, is helping young artists make a living with digital royalties from NFTs. These were his BlockSplit takeaways:
“First of all, I just wanted to thank Split Tech City for organizing the giveaway that got me a ticket to BlockSplit 3! Even though I was there for only one day, it feels like I was there for an entire week. Why? Here’s why!
Firstly, I met so many like-minded people who were so easy to talk to. They are not judgemental, they support you, and want the best for you even though they don’t know you. I felt like one of them!
That feeling you have when no one is judging you for doing something differently is indescribable.
Secondly, the educational part of the conference was very well-structured.
For example, I mainly attended the presentations about NFTs because my book talks about NFTs, and they were never at the same time, so I have managed to attend all of them.
I was also surprised by how many people from Croatia were interested in blockchain. I’m very happy about that!
Besides the educational and business part, my biggest takeaway is making friends.
Friends like two remarkable young people from Split – Matija Luketin and Marija Šustić; Gavin from the Netherlands; Ilija Brajković from Kontra agency; a team of people from Rezolut; and many more.
I met many amazing people and I just became richer with friends than I was. 🙂
Thanks, BlockSplit!” 😀
Aside from the visitor’s feedback we got from Ivan, we were also interested in hearing the behind-the-scenes insider info. That’s why we briefly spoke with Tamara Ilić-Arvan who is a part of the fantastic BlockSplit organizing team.
They are the ones who gave BlockSplit to Split!
This is what she shared with us: “We’re very happy with the attendance and the feedback we got from the visitors, as well as sponsors that had their stands at the BlockSplit Expo.
So, no matter how tired we are, we’re ecstatic to have turned another BlockSplit conference into reality!”
In the end, we would like to congratulate the entire BlockSplit team for another excellent conference! It showcased the best of blockchain technology in combination with the typical Split lifestyle.
What more to ask for?! Nothing! Except for a repeat performance next year! 😉
p.s. The BlockSplit energy is still present in Split until the end of this week. The Encode x BlockSplit Hackathon is set to take place at The Works coworking this weekend.
It is an in-person weekend hackathon, organized by Encode in partnership with BlockSplit. Go check it out! 🙂
