21.02.2024.

It’s time for another one! The first in 2024 and fifth overall – Split Startups Meetup in collaboration with our friends from the hardworking Student Business Incubator.

After the first four editions in 2023 –  FebruaryMay, the pre-program edition during the Split Tech City Festival in September, and a Christmas edition in Decemberwe asked for your feedback and tailored the topic of the fifth edition to what you asked for.

And you asked for: “More AI!” 😉

You ask, we listen! So now you HAVE TO show up to this edition of Split Startups Meetup – no excuses! And if by any chance you did not leave your feedback, we kindly ask you to do so by filling out our brief questionnaire. It will help us make Split Startups Meetup a better event!

Now, as for this edition… It will take place at The Works coworking on Thursday, February 29, starting at 18:00. And the sign-up form awaits you!

And what about the program of the 5th edition? We mentioned AI, so AI-themed it will be! However, it is still a meetup for startups, so we threw in something startup-themed, something really important. 🙂

So, without further ado, the upcoming Split Startups Meetup will look like this:

  • panel discussion
  • extensive Q&A session
  • startup pitching session
  • networking

The panel discussion is titled Spot on AI!and will be focusing on (Drum roll, please!) – artificial intelligence. We will keep things informal and won’t go too deep into the tech side of things, you can dive deeper into that segment with our chosen panelists during the networking phase. (Yes, we leave you with a convenient conversational ice-breaker!) 😉

Some of the topics that we will be focusing on in the panel will be:

  • the use of AI in general
  • the difference in using AI privately and on a company level
  • implementation of AI into new products or services
  • usefulness of AI for startups

And these are the panelists who will be guided by our omnipresent moderator Michael Freer through this discussion and the Q&A session after:

We deliberately reserved a lot of time for the Q&A after the panel and invite you all to actively participate in it! AI is a technology that is still developing and changing by the day and we could all benefit from an open discussion on that particular topic.

And after we wrap up with the AI part of the evening, startups take the stage! 😀

In your community feedback, you requested more workshop-style content. Well, here it is!

Three startups get a chance to practice their pitching skills and receive direct community feedback without the pressure of being assessed by either judges of a startup competition or investors looking for a startup to invest in.

All you need to do is sign up your startup in the sign-up form and come ready with a 60-second pitch!

No stress, no pressure, just a good practice round for a possible future pitch under pressure. You’ll get feedback from the gathered attendees of Split Startups Meetup, as well as from the three people who are making this meetup happen and who saw many, many startup pitches in their lifetime.

And after…you know it – networking! Always the highlight of the evening! 😉

See you at The Works on Thursday, February 29, at 18:00. Don’t forget to sign up and – don’t miss the Split Startups Meetup!

Researching is woven into my DNA, but I am a musician at heart. Interested in too many things and always curious. Forever in love with Split and enchanted by people who teach me new things. When I am not creating content about Split's tech community, you will find me in singing rehearsals, somewhere in nature, in the theater, or with my head stuck in a book. I do my best to live by the verse from the opera "Fedora" by Umberto Giordano: "Love forbids you not to love."
