Founded in 1996 as one of the first consulting companies in Split, Fiorin Consulting deals with the preparation and implementation of projects financed from EU funds, the preparation of investment projects, various financial analyses, and company valuations, as well as holding professional training and seminars.
Fiorin Consulting director Ivan Silić told us more about operations, plans, and values that can they can provide to the IT companies.
They currently have 4 employees, and through their previous work, Fiorin Consulting has stood out from the competition and thus became recognizable throughout the entire country.
“The fundamental advantage over the competition is based on the fact that our employees first gained rich experience working in private entrepreneurship, banking, the judiciary, and various non-profit organizations. This enabled them to better understand the needs of entrepreneurs and thus provide them with the highest level of assistance in the implementation of their entrepreneurial ideas,” explains Ivan.
Fiorin Consulting puts a strong emphasis on the education of its employees, which is evident from the fact that they hold licenses from the Croatian Network of Consultants, are certified consultants of HAMAG-BICRO for small and medium enterprises, in addition to being court experts, bankruptcy administrators, and investment consultants.
We asked Ivan how much they cooperate with companies from the IT sector, and he told us that their mutual cooperation is multifaceted.
One of the ways Fiorin Consulting cooperates with IT companies is to collaborate on projects in the role of service providers to their clients who need various digitization, marketing, and similar services.
“A successful job requires good mutual cooperation between intermediaries, and our collaborators are often made up of companies from this industry,” he emphasizes.
Also, IT companies were their clients several times when applying for various types of tenders, most often for the procurement of equipment or for furnishing the business premises.
“Creating and implementing projects for members of the tech community, whether they are individuals or companies, is an integral part of our business.”
Fiorin Consulting has so far realized over €50,000,000 in grants, which they consider their largest reference.
Over 1,300 investment projects were realized through commercial banks, HBOR, HAMAG-BICRO, and other financial institutions, where these investments in total exceed the amount of €500,000,000.
In addition to the above, the company conducted several professional training sessions and seminars for the needs of local government representatives, as well as various financial expertise and due diligence analyses.
When it comes to the technology they use in their work, Ivan points out:
“Cloud documentation is currently the accepted norm, and it is very important that we have access to all relevant documents at meetings outside the company office. What we are noticing is the growing trend of artificial intelligence and AI-based software, and we are currently experimenting with it in terms of where we can use it in our business, as well.”
Regarding the strategy of further development, they plan to open another branch and employ several new team members, all to meet the needs of entrepreneurs in the entire territory of Croatia as quickly as possible.
Regarding joining the Split Tech City community, Ivan emphasizes that as a Split Tech City member, the company can have an impact on the development of the local community in a way that it can use its experience and knowledge to help companies, especially beginning entrepreneurs, in developing business ideas and starting their business.
“We want to share our knowledge about grants with the Split Tech City community so that all members can be promptly informed about the tenders to which they can apply so that they do not miss out on potential financial opportunities.”
