Did you know that the Split Tech City community is now composed of more than 80 companies? Well, it’s time to introduce you to another company that recently joined us!
Their name is Data Domain and they are a company whose main field of expertise lies in the administration of the Oracle database and the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) architecture.
The company has been operating for 10 years already with an equally long work experience by Domagoj Šain, founder of Data Domain and Oracle DBA abroad.
“Data Domain currently has four employees who work in our Korčula and Split offices. Although we are a micro-enterprise, we work with the latest Oracle technologies,” Domagoj pointed out.
The technologies they use in their work are Oracle database, Oracle Linux, SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
Among the projects and collaborations they are most proud of is the migration of the Oracle Hospitality application from Windows to the Linux environment, upgrade to 19c, RAC, Active Data Guard – Wynn Macau, Wynn Palace, Galaxy Macau, Banyan Tree Macau, as well as the migration of the Oracle Hospitality application to new platform, upgrade to 19c, RAC, Active Data Guard – MBS Marina Bay Sans Singapore and migration to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure for Hilton Hotels Zagreb.
Some of the users of their services, whose systems are constantly upgraded and maintained, are Ericsson Nikola Tesla, Hospitality and Retail Systems, Liburnia Hotels, Arena Hospitality, Maistra, Auctim IT Belgium, and Real Networks Austria.
Domagoj also shared with us some information regarding the expansion of the Data Domain team: “We are looking for new employees.
People who already have work experience with Oracle databases would be optimal, but we are willing to include in our team other IT experts and masters in the profession who want to learn and work with Oracle databases and at OCI.”
We asked them why they joined the Split Tech City community: “We recognized Split Tech City as an association necessary for our region, through which young people are educated, IT experts are connected, and technological development is widely encouraged in the entire ecosystem.
We also see Split Tech City as a community where we could discover and meet students and young people who would fit the profile of our employees.”
