Support our communityAre you looking forward to another “Locals’n’Nomads” meetup?! We know we are! Now, this one will be a little bit different than the rest as we did promise that, in 2022 and beyond, “Locals’n’Nomads” meetups will sometimes happen with a little bit of a twist.
We have to keep things interesting for you!
Don’t worry, though! The atmosphere will remain relaxed and informal, as it did all this time, and as usual – all are welcome. This time the meetup will happen on Saturday, February 19th, from 10:00 AM to approximately 1:00 PM.
Our meeting spot at 10 AM will be at Riva next to the Bronze Model of Split, right across the Brass Gate of the Palace. We are meeting there and not at a cafe as we did so far because we will be going on a guided tour through the Palace with Linda, a certified guide.
Linda kindly offered her services to you all so that you have a chance to get to know Split a little bit better!
Therefore, the guided tour is free for all meetup attendees, but we will be visiting the Diocletian’s Cellars, the Cathedral, and the Jupiter’s Temple and the ticket price for those sights is 80,00 HRK in total. High school or university students in attendance have the right to a 50% discount with the student ID card.
Please keep in mind that, due to the current protective measures, entrance to the Diocletian’s Cellars is possible only with a valid EU Covid Certificate. If you do not have one and don’t plan to, feel free to skip the Diocletian’s Cellars. Even though we would really like you to go with us, especially if you are a Game of Thrones fan.
Another thing to be aware of is the meeting time. So far, all “Locals’n’Nomads” were “come as you please” types of meetups where people attended, but not all were there exactly at the time advertised as the start of the meetup. This time is a little bit different.
Because Linda kindly offered her time to us, we should repay that kindness by respecting her time and being at the meeting point at 10:00 AM.
Please don’t be late, you wouldn’t want to miss this tour!
To respect the group limit for the guided sightseeing that will take place during the meetup, we will also be limiting the possibility of signing up to 20 people. Therefore, please sign up only if you actually plan to attend the meetup, to not take a spot away from someone else. Once the 20-person limit is reached, the sign-up will be closed.
After we’re done with the tour that Linda has planned for us, we will stop by D16 Coffee, grab a drink to-go, and head to Riva or Strossmayer Park (known as ‘Đardin’) to hang out a bit together before we all go our separate ways. We hope you will join us in exploring Split together with Linda!
Sign up to attend and see you by the Bronze Model of Split on February 19th at 10:00 AM!
