We were so tempted to jump into the sea for a swim this Saturday! For the fourth edition of the, now traditional, monthly “Locals’n’Nomads” meetup, we were blessed with a truly exceptional day.
While the colder side of the arrival of autumn could definitely be felt during the last week with some rain and the well-known bura wind – a strong, dry northern or northeastern wind that descends from Mount Velebit to the Adriatic Sea bringing crisp and cold air – Saturday morning dawned brightly sunny with only a slight breeze, making it a perfect day for our outdoor meetup.
The perfect weather and the location we selected at Jadran Beach Bar provided the newly-arrived digital nomads the proverbial taste of Mediterranean autumn.
This is how it looks like, folks!
This edition of the meetup brought some new faces, as well as some who have become regulars at the event. Together with born-and-raised locals, there were Split’s digital nomads as well as local internationals from Brazil, Canada, the USA, Ukraine, the UK, Australia, and other countries.
It makes us happy that, by organizing “Locals’n’Nomads”, we give people from all over the world and a variety of different backgrounds a chance to hang out together and share their experiences.
And share they did: from advice about life in Split to personal experiences applying for Croatia’s digital nomad residence permit and anything in between – the gathered group was chatty and cheerful throughout our get-together.
We enjoyed ourselves immensely at this “Locals’n’Nomads” meetup and cannot wait to see you at the next one!
