Two years of Tinel Meetup are behind us, and we’re ready to enter the third with a bang! Every developer has got product owners, managers and colleagues asking for demanding work. Feature here, bugfix there, just have to do what you’re told basically.

A year ago, we hosted Charlie Owen on Tinel Meetup who talked about the perspective where it’s not all about developers. But what if it is all about you? Are you not the expert here? What if we told you there is another way? You are *THE* person responsible for the project outcome, and you need to take it seriously.

The next speaker at Tinel Meetup is none other than Pim Elshoff, who has been a developer-for-hire for over a decade now. With over half that time spent working with Scrum at Procurios, he managed to enhance his Agile mindset to a whole new level. Technology will always be a passion of his, but with more experience, his focus has shifted towards people. Pim works at Procurios, Dutch-based company that offers various software solutions in the shape of websites, eCommerce shops, e-mail marketing, and CRM.

In his soft-skill talk called “From Conversation to Software”, we’ll take a look at how you can help people solve their problems and grasp their opportunities. We will write user stories that help you understand their problems. We will use story mapping to create meaningful and insightful choices for your clients. Finally, we’ll use release planning to predict and plan, together, where the project will end up. Join us the 26th edition of Tinel Meetup and find out how you can turn the conversation into software.

The agenda for the upcoming Tinel Meetup #26 is as follows:
19:00 — 19:30 The gathering
19:30 — 19:45 Opening remarks
19:45 — 20:30 Pim Elshoff: From conversation to software
20:30 — 20:45 Q&A with Pim
20:45 — FreeBeer o’ clock!

Following the event on Thursday, we even managed to persuade Pim to host a half-day workshop on Saturday. The workshop itself is tailored towards software development teams that can finally get a grasp on Test Driven Development, Domain Driven Design and Teamwork. Head over to the signup page and confirm your spot. http://tinel.locastic.com

That’s it for the education part, but we’ve got quite a lot of cool stuff that will surround the event. During the birthday event, we announced our newest speaker partner ICT Županija who are already delivering in the speakers’ department. Well, they did help us bring Pim, so that kind of speaks for itself.

Last but not least, Tinel is powered by the help of our amazing hospitality partners in the shape of Bokamorra, LAB Split Craft, Biberon Cakes. They will make sure that we are well equipped with craft beer, pizza and cakes.
