„The New Workforce in the Age of AI“

Artificial intelligence is no longer a topic of the future — it is already changing the way we work, hire, and run businesses today. In the context of marking Labour Day, this edition of the Entrepreneurial Café opens a question that is increasingly relevant for entrepreneurs, employees, and institutions alike: does AI represent a new workforce, and will it — and to what extent — replace certain office-based roles?

Through a conversation with panelists from business, technology, and development backgrounds, we will explore the concrete changes AI is already bringing to office processes, administration, customer support, hiring, and decision-making. We will also discuss which skills are becoming more important, where AI can act as a tool and support, and where it presents a challenge to existing jobs.

Panelists are:

• Mila Perković – Human Resources Manager @ UHY in Croatia
An expert in human resource management with experience in companies such as Rimac Technology (as HR Business Partner), Konzum and Cemex, currently serving as HR Manager at UHY.

• Ive Botunac – Board President @ CroAI
A researcher and AI engineer with over 10 years of experience in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and AI solution development. He works on developing and implementing AI systems from strategy to production, including agentic AI systems and business applications. He is Director of Research and Development at Alfatec Group and President of CroAI.

• Joško Šugar – AI & Data Strategist @ OTP banka
Specialized in artificial intelligence, data strategy, and analytics, with extensive experience in developing data and AI solutions in the financial and payments sector. Currently AI & Data Strategist at OTP banka, previously leading data analytics and architecture teams at Nexi Group and Wirecard, focusing on payments, risk management, and digital transformation.

• Mateo Perak – Co-founder & CEO @ Profico
Director and co-founder of Profico, a Split-based technology company with international operations and strong experience in digital transformation. As an entrepreneur and technology leader, he has been intensively focused in recent years on applying AI in business.
