AI is rapidly transforming how we build software, but what does it really take to make AI agents useful for real iOS development workflows?
Mihaela Mihaljević-Jakić from Maurer Electronics Split, a Senior iOS Architect and developer building cutting-edge AI-powered tools for the Apple ecosystem, will present her open-source project Cupertino in this session of Coder’s Kitchen meetup.
Cupertino is a local MCP (Model Context Protocol) server designed to give AI agents offline access to more than 90,000 Apple documentation pages across hundreds of frameworks.
Cupertino is a CLI for human developers and an MCP server for AI agents. Both surfaces use the same local catalogue of Apple documentation, Swift packages, sample code, Human Interface Guidelines, Swift Evolution proposals, and Swift.org pages.
We will dive into how MCP works in practice, how client-server communication is structured, and why local-first AI tooling opens up new possibilities for developers.
Mihaela will walk us through the architecture behind Copertino, share a live practical session, and discuss the evolution of the Cupertino map and what’s next for AI-assisted development in Swift.
If you’re curious about AI agents, developer tooling, or the future of Swift development, this Coder’s Kitchen meetup session will give you a concrete and technical perspective on what’s coming next.
Our sponsor Maurer-Electronics Split kindly provides pizza and a beverage so that you can enjoy the company of fellow techies during the socializing part of the event.
Coder’s Kitchen series of tech talks is sponsored by Maurer-Electronics Split d.o.o. and Digitalna Dalmacija. Thanks to Digitalna Dalmacija for providing the space for this talk.
