This Monday, May 12, 2026, the annual election assembly of the Split Tech City community was held – the formal foundation that gives momentum to everything we informally live throughout the year. This time we gathered at Bottiglia wine & deli on Put Firula, and we had a great time.

What did we accomplish in 2025?

At the beginning of the assembly, reports on activities and finances were presented. As emphasized: “What we’ll remember 2025 for” – it was an intense and productive year:

Community growth

• 17 new members joined the community, strengthening our network and diversity
• We continued to be the most vibrant tech community in Dalmatia, through meetings, partnerships and everyday connecting, and the rise in numbers on social networks (e.g. +100% interaction on IG) confirms this
• We opened the year with the STC quiz – a gathering through knowledge and fun
• We held the fourth Mini PR Conference which attracted a full hall and confirmed the importance of these formats
• We were visible at Communication Days where we cemented the STC story among the creative industry
• We attended DUMP Days to stay close to young talents
• We organized two Women in Tech meetups, including the largest edition so far
• We held B2B speed dating and after work drinks for freelancers where new acquaintances and collaborations were formed

• Through SAASTANAK x STC we combined AI, security and the local mentality
• We held the jubilee fifth Split Tech City Festival which confirmed that Split has the scene, audience and energy for tech and entrepreneurial stories
• We continued with Summer Internships 2025, connecting students with opportunities in the local tech industry
• Through the STC x ELEKS x Harfa project we brought the tech story closer to young people before their first entry into the job market
• The Cageball tournament combined sports, community and a humanitarian campaign through which we again bought laptops for children in cooperation with Caritas
• We wrapped up the year with Dev Night focused on the developer community

Content and documenting the scene

• We published more than 300 articles, documenting people, successes and events of the local tech scene
• We celebrated the successes of members such as: SPLX, Caelor, Sparky, Ice Rebus, BLANK, Profico, SeekandHit
• Through Member Highlight formats we showed that the successes of our members are not just their stories, but stories of the entire community
• We connected talent with business opportunities through content, network and direct contacts
• We continued with Split Technology Park (TPS) as a strategic partner, building a space where the community gathers, connects and grows

Election assembly – new representatives, new energy

After the technicalities, the election component of the assembly followed. Along with Toni Trivković and Antonio Šerić, three new members will guide us through the next term.

Once again we want to welcome two new Board members Morten Smalby, Ante Gojsalić and a new-but-not-so-new member, Romana Ban. 🙂

Special guest – Josip Škiljo

After the formal part of the program, Josip Škiljo, the well-known Split stand-up comedian, gave the evening a special charm with new material.

After Škiljo’s performance, came what most members actually love – informal networking, and we also commented on some fresh proposals.

Conclusion

Although technology is the vehicle of our community, and products and services are what members create, the foundation of everything remains people. And Split Tech City has great people.
