Silicon Castles is ready to cut some of Split’s Diamonds into shape! After they arrived in our city, the Silicon Castles team got right to work and made the first-ever Diamond Lab in Split a reality.
Together with the Faculty of Economics, Business, and Tourism of the University of Split, the team from the Student Business Incubator Split, and a small contribution from us at Split Tech City, Silicon Castles brings this two-day Design Thinking workshop to our local startup ecosystem.
The workshop will take place at the Faculty of Economics, Business, and Tourism on May 12th and 13th and 40 participants will take part in it.
Silicon Castles’ Diamond Labs are led by experts and focus on developing innovative ideas in the field of new technologies as well as laying the foundation for motivated and competent startup teams. In two days, participants work together in teams and learn how to turn these ideas into real business opportunities.
During the Diamond Lab, innovators, creative individuals, inventors, entrepreneurs, researchers, and students all come together in teams to develop new ideas, applications, and solutions for technology in specific focus areas.
The goal of Diamond Labs is to develop innovative business ideas and lay the foundation for motivated and competent startup teams that can turn these ideas into real business opportunities.

The agenda of Diamond Lab Split is packed with great things and possibilities for growth for all participants.
During the two intensive days – and we’re talking a full-day schedule, morning to evening – the future European Diamonds will have the chance to work with experts in the field and get direct input from them, work on team building and mindset shaping, build their ideas through all relevant development stages, and even take part in a surprise activity.
One thing’s for sure: the Silicon Castles team will make them all step out of their comfort zone, but they will surely become stronger because of it!
The winning team will win a 5-hour workshop and will be admitted to participate in Silicon Castles‘ Startup Executive Academy 2023. The second and third places will also win workshops with the Silicon Castles team to further develop their ideas.
