After several unforgettable Tinel Open meetups in historic locations, this year’s gathering of technology enthusiasts took place in the Ancient Roman Amphitheater in Salona.
The co-organizers Digital Dalmacija and Locastic once again pushed the boundaries. They prepared an interesting program that attracted around 300 people and gave them an evening to remember – from education and food to socializing in an unprecedented location.
The program, which consisted of 3 lectures, 2 panel discussions, and a fireside chat, and included more than 10 speakers, was led by the director of the Litto travel agency, Iva Kegalj.
Tinel Open was opened by Antonio Perić-Mažar with a brief reflection on where this event was and where it is going.
The first lecture was given by Goran Kovačević from Infinum, who introduced the audience to the topic of business development. The visitors had the opportunity to hear about Goran’s many years of business experience, the challenges he faced, and the effective methods that helped him with them.
The first panel discussed AI technology, which has become an indispensable part of business and everyday life. It crept in through the back door and is now an indispensable part of the business.
The panel discussion was moderated by Pinija Poljaković (Art Media), and her guests were Ana Milas (Serengeti), Nikola Jakić (Ars Futura), and the director of AI research and development, Zlatko Matokanović (Q agency).
The speakers talked about the application of AI technology in business and the daily tasks they face at work, when it is a friend and when it is an enemy, and how much it has actually taken off.
After the panel discussion, Iva invited Marko Mišulić, director of the company Rentlio, which developed an advanced cloud solution for small hotels, renters, hostels, and property managers, to the stage.
Marko talked about his journey through entrepreneurship and how he went from a safe job in the company where he worked to everyday fight to make his own company successful.
The path from the foundation of his own company to the first client was paved with falls and failures. His will to succeed, struggle, and consistency have led him to sell his services in as many as 40 countries around the world today.
During the lecture, he highlighted the 10 most important lessons he learned in 10 years of entrepreneurship.
Marinka Akrap, a member of the Hajduk football club’s board in charge of marketing, sales, and public relations, also arrived at the stage of this year’s Tinel Open.
Marinka and Toni talked about Hajduk’s marketing, the current state, achievements, and interesting campaigns that Marinka manages, but also about what it’s like to be in such an important position in a club that has the meaning of more than just a football club to many people.
After Marinka and Toni, fintech enthusiasts led by moderator Antonio Perić-Mažar from Locastic arrived on stage. A serious team from renowned companies gathered – Andrius Bičeika (Revolut), Boris Blažević (Erste Bank), and Nikola Škorić (Electrocoin), and they talked about the future of the fintech sector, current trends, predictions and expectations.
The Tinel Open program was closed by Ivan Bešlić, co-founder of Sofascore, the leading global sports platform for results, statistics, and analytics.
Ivan talked about the future generations who are already performing, ready, and ambitious to enter the business world. How Sofascore approaches the younger generations and why it is crucial to focus on them right now.
Aside from all the lectures and panel discussions, there was also time to socialize. Tinel Open is known for good food, drink, and networking. All this is even more beautiful when it takes place in a location such as the Salona Amphitheater.
With another Tinel Open concluded, the bar is raised even higher for next year. What the organizers will prepare for us – we still don’t know, but we do know that they will soon return to the Tinel Meetups held at the Locastic office and prepare another series of interesting lectures and gatherings.
Congratulations, Tinel organizers! 😀
