24.07.2024.

We continue with the introductions of the program and the people of this year’s Split Tech City Festival!

As many of you already know, this will be the fourth year in a row the Festival is taking place and the third year we have an International Day on our agenda. On the first day, September 6, the content is in Croatian, but the networking is equally awesome. 😉

While on September 7, in the marvelous Mediterranean space of the Bačvice Open-Air Cinema, you can attend a #STCFestival International Day day full of inspiration and good vibes carried on from the previous day!

But that doesn’t mean you aren’t welcome for both days – tickets can be bought for two days or just for International Day only if you’re so inclined. 🙂

Naturally, this inspiration will come from our speakers and panelists. You already had the chance to be introduced to Matthias and the topic he will discuss, so now is the time to learn more about the second segment of the Split Tech City Festival 2024 main stage program.

Therefore, without further ado, it’s time for the second Split Tech City Festival introduction of 2024: get to know Jaïr Halevi and Petra Salarić!

Jaïr Halevi

Jaïr Halevi is Head of Startup & VCs at Miro and Head of Culture at Pygma who has a founder’s mindset with a passion for innovation, technology, and startup culture.

With experience leading an incubator and working with industry giants like Airbnb and Miro, as well as governments and NGOs, Jaïr has empowered over a thousand startups to leverage their culture as a competitive advantage.

Petra Salarić

Petra Salarić, Msc, is a multiple award-winning researcher, designer, activist, and founder of pstaboo, the first consultancy in the world that specializes in taboos. Before specializing in the topic of taboos, Petra has worked in different areas of design and art for almost 10 years and across 3 continents.

Her framework of working on taboo topics is currently the only existing framework that guides how to deal with taboos in projects. Petra has collaborated with several NGOs, taught at universities, shared her know-how at conferences, and created many projects worldwide. Petra is also currently finishing her PhD at Loughborough University in the UK.

So far we haven’t had an interactive two-person talk at the International Day of the #SplitTechCityFestival, so we thought we should bring it into the mix at the Bačvice Open-Air Cinema main stage this year.

The talk Jaïr and Petra will present is titled “Safe Spaces, Bold Ideas: Cultivating Psychological Safety for Innovative Teams”.

Through storytelling, metaphors, interactive audience questions, anecdotes, and sharing their specific industry-related knowledge and experiences, Jaïr and Petra will show us why psychological safety and a solid feedback structure are important for innovation and how we can implement them in our work and life.

No matter your experience or background, you will learn a lot during this interactive talk about the intersection of psychological safety and innovation, there’s no doubt about it – so go get your Festival ticket!

And then we’ll see you at the Bačvice Open-Air Cinema on September 7 for a big dose of inspiration, a lot of good vibes, and a great time overall!

To make sure you don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity for personal and professional growth under the expert guidance of Jaïr and Petra, as well as the rest of our selected speakers and panelists – make sure you secure your #STCFestival ticket on time!

p.s. There are a few #EarlyBird ones that still haven’t flown from the nest! 😉

Nikolina Kukoč

Researching is woven into my DNA, but I am a musician at heart. Interested in too many things and always curious. Forever in love with Split and enchanted by people who teach me new things. When I am not creating content about Split's tech community, you will find me in singing rehearsals, somewhere in nature, in the theater, or with my head stuck in a book. I do my best to live by the verse from the opera "Fedora" by Umberto Giordano: "Love forbids you not to love."
