Tips for posting with consistency and purpose (instead of chasing trends and burning out)

If you’re a founder, creative, or part of a small team, chances are you’ve had a love-hate relationship with social media. One day, you’re excited to share your work. The next, you’re spiraling in the endless scroll, wondering why your last post “flopped” and debating whether to dance on TikTok or force your team into viral “funny” sketches.

Here’s the truth: social media is an incredible tool for connection and growth, but only if it works for you, not the other way around.

At The Inmediato, we always say: you don’t need to post more, you need to post with more intention. You don’t need to trend-chase or burn out. You need a system that feels good, consistent, and true to your brand.

Start with why

Before hashtags or trending audios, ask: Why am I here? Is it to build community, attract clients, share knowledge, or all of the above? Define your main goal, it will guide every piece of content.

Build a flexible structure

We love the “four pillars” approach:

  • Educate: Tips, insights, teach something.
  • Engage: Ask questions, show behind the scenes.
  • Sell: Clearly present your offers.
  • Relate: Share stories, values, your human side.

When you know what to rotate, planning feels easier (and less random).

Create before you consume

We’ve all fallen into the scroll trap.

Protect your creative energy. Create first, scroll later.

Batch and repurpose

You don’t need to create every day to show up every day. Batch weekly or monthly, then repurpose: one idea can become a reel, a carousel, a story. Consistency without burnout? Yes, please.

Embrace your human side

People don’t want perfection; they want connection. Share the experiments, lessons, and small wins. They resonate more than you think.

Flor’s Note
Flor Nieto - The Inmediato

When I started The Inmediato, I felt that (totally unnecessary) pressure to “perform” on social media. Like if I wasn’t posting daily, going viral, or crafting the “perfect” caption, I was failing. Spoiler: I wasn’t.

Growth doesn’t come from being everywhere or copying every trend. It comes from showing up consistently, intentionally, and in a way that feels true (and lets you sleep at night).

Social media is important, but it can’t be your whole marketing strategy.

You need to exist beyond the grid. Join a community like Split Tech City or the Foreign Business Owners Association Split-Dalmatia. Volunteer, network, finally send that newsletter, or dare to do that awkward cold outreach. These real-world touches take the pressure off posting and remind you that marketing isn’t about vanity metrics, it’s about human connection.

My blog posts (www.flornietoblog.com) don’t always do big numbers, and neither do The Inmediato’s. And yet… here we are, growing just fine. So if I feel like writing about Lars Von Trier’s Dogville or how David Bowie taught me more about strategy than any business book ever could, I do it.

That freedom? It’s priceless.

This note comes with a gift. My friend Katerina Lazari from FindYourCoach (my coach too, because yes, everyone needs one) told me recently: “Offer a free first call through your column.” So here we are. Want to figure this out together? Email info@theinmediato.com to schedule.

Show up with soul, not just strategy

Marketing isn’t about chasing algorithms or trends, it’s about creating impact. Build trust, share your story, and connect in ways that truly move people. Show up with soul, not just strategy. Because the brands that dare to be human? Those are the ones we remember.
