The Split Tech City community has welcomed a new member who uniquely combines technology and creativity. Ad Astra, a creative-tech startup based in Split, develops projects at the intersection of digital culture, education, and creative expression.

Their focus is on creating digital tools that encourage creativity and collaboration. One of their key projects is Sin Fin, a collaborative storytelling platform.

We spoke with Nikolina Vuković, Head of Research and Development at Ad Astra, about their vision, their work, and the development of their platform.

Can you tell us more about your startup?

Ad Astra is a creative-tech startup based in Split that develops projects at the intersection of digital culture, education, and creative expression.

We were founded out of a love for reading, literature, and writing, but also from a desire to ensure that technology connects people rather than divides them. We believe that the digital space can be a place for meeting, collaboration, and collective creation.

From this approach came Sin Fin, a collaborative storytelling platform. After developing and testing the first version, we are currently finalizing an improved version of the application, shaped by user insights and a clearly defined direction for future development.

Our office is located in the Technology Park in Split, and we work in a small, focused team that combines creativity and technology.

Which projects are you most proud of?

We are most proud of the development of the new version of the Sin Fin web application, which represents the core project of our team.

The initial version of the platform allowed us to validate the concept and better understand user needs, while feedback from users, educators, and creative communities helped shape Sin Fin into what it is today, with a clear identity and direction for future development.

Can you tell us more about the application itself?

Sin Fin allows users to create their own “story planets” within an interactive digital universe. Through contributions from different authors, narratives branch out endlessly, creating a network of interconnected worlds and perspectives.

The concept is designed with a strong focus on ease of use and an enjoyable writing experience. Technologically, we rely on stable and modern solutions that enable the platform to function reliably, quickly, and smoothly.

Our goal is to create an environment where users can write, create, and explore without barriers — with a full focus on creativity rather than on the complexity of the tools.

Why did you decide to join the Split Tech City community?

We joined the Split Tech City community because we believe in the power of connection and knowledge sharing. An environment that brings together technological and creative profiles naturally suits us, as our work sits at the intersection of those two worlds.

It is important for us to be part of a local ecosystem that encourages entrepreneurship, innovation, and collaboration.

In recent years, Split has been increasingly developing its technology and startup scene, with more and more people launching their own projects and initiatives.

From our experience, the city has a positive energy, openness, and a strong willingness to collaborate. Such an environment provides a solid foundation for project development and long-term growth.
