An apparently top-tier startup can very quickly lose investor trust – and not because of the technology, but much more often due to the team, strategy, and execution. What are the “red flags” that investors immediately notice, but founders frequently overlook?

Answers are brought by partner of the fund Silicon Gardens – Izet Ždralović

Izet Ždralović is known as the co-founder of two global success stories from the region – Photomath and Microblink. Today, as a partner at Silicon Gardens, he shares his experience with a new generation of founders to help them avoid the most common pitfalls and scale their ideas globally.

Do you have an idea you want to pitch? We secured an exclusive opportunity for you
Kristian Asani, with experience founding a startup incubator, in the fund takes care of deal flow, sourcing, community, and events.

He’s most often the first person you’ll have an intro call with, and his passion is supporting founders in the earliest stages of development.

Kristian will not participate in the discussion, but you will have the opportunity afterward to approach him and get information related to your own startup. Be well-prepared!

Silicon Gardens is an investment fund run by experienced entrepreneurs – people who have themselves gone through the entire journey from a garage startup to global success.

By summer 2027, they plan to invest more than 30 million euros from their third fund into pre-seed and seed startups, with initial investments ranging from 300,000 to 1.5 million euros.

In addition to experiences from building Photomath, Microblink, and the Silicon Gardens portfolio, we’ll touch on the 28th regime (EU-Inc) – the new EU framework that will facilitate business for both investors and founders.

If you are building a startup or just thinking about your first steps, this is an opportunity to hear first-hand what investors truly look at – and how to avoid the “red flags” that can cost you investment.

Maybe you’ll need a ticket for one day or both, everything’s on the link.

Here you can check out who we’ve announced so far.
