“Hi, I’m Marsel Čuljak and I sell over 100,000 kilograms of ice every day, all around the world.”
What began as a high school idea has today grown into a company, Ice Rebus, that operates in more than 40 markets worldwide – from Europe and the Americas to Australia and New Zealand.

The talk will take place on the second day of the Festival, September 6th, at Ljetno kino Bačvice, and it will be held in English.

In his lecture, titled “Highschool idea to 6 continent operation”, Marsel will take us on a journey from the first clumsy beginnings and lessons learned the hard way, to the key mindset shifts that happened as his team grew.

When he shifted his focus from profit to purpose – everything changed.

But don’t think this is just a theoretical story. The founder of Ice Rebus will also share details about the development of both software and hardware, with the company’s central office located right here in our beautiful Split.

Ice Rebus manufactures self-service ice vending machines for producing, storing, and selling ice. Their machines operate 24/7, providing fresh ice on demand, without the need for staff.

From their Split headquarters, they monitor the performance and efficiency of all machines produced and provide continuous support to partners worldwide.

Today, Ice Rebus is present in markets from Jamaica and the Bahamas to Argentina and Egypt, with more than 1,500 installed machines across over 50 countries.

“Particularly noteworthy is the innovativeness of the new software platform, which enables real-time monitoring of the machines’ operation.”

And while the numbers may sound impressive, Marsel says:

“Are we finished? In my eyes, we’re just getting started.”
