Last week, we organized a visit to Harfa International School, a proud member of Split Tech City, where Diana and Suzi from Eleks – also part of the Split Tech City community – joined forces to introduce students aged 13 to 15 to the exciting world of IT careers.
It was truly inspiring to see young minds at work.
Even the more shy students, who had initially taken refuge in the back rows, slowly started to approach, ask questions, and take part in the games and interactive lessons.
The event featured two sessions designed to make technology and career exploration both fun and accessible:
Class 1: “How to get into IT: Skills, Trends, and Career Paths” (Diana Dmytriv)
Students discovered how their personal strengths connect to different IT careers, learned about current and future tech roles, and found out how they can start preparing for a tech path even as teenagers.

Class 2: “What is it like to work in IT and manage projects?” (Suzi Kliškinić)
Through hands-on activities, students explored how teamwork and organization shape IT projects. They learned what project managers do, what skills they use, and how these translate to real-world tech environments.

Of course, the conversation couldn’t skip one of today’s biggest topics: artificial intelligence. The students’ curiosity led to engaging questions about how tools like ChatGPT work and how they might change the future of learning and creativity.

We wrapped up the day with a simple yet powerful takeaway, one that sums up the entire experience and gives us a bright outlook on the future shaped by these young innovators:
“ChatGPT helps, but our brain is the strongest tool.”
