Nothing can possibly replace the fabulous atmosphere we got to live in throughout the duration of this year’s Festival of Technology and Entrepreneurship. However, for those of you who missed it, we have the next best thing!

The videos of the panel discussion and all four lectures can now be found on Split Tech City’s YouTube channel!

We also didn’t want to make you go through the hassle of finding them on your own, so here’s an overview you can either bookmark or easily forward to people who might be as interested in this as you. 😉

“How to start a global tech business in Croatia?”

This panel discussion opened the program of International Day. Frane Borozan (SysKit), Marko Kovač (Repsly), Morten Smalby (GetByBus), and Bruno Stojaković (PlaySafety) were the ones answering this question under the watchful guidance of our moderator, Michael Freer (Ensoco, DonatQR).

“Start an agency and plan a successful exit strategy”

This lecture was delivered by Prashant Vaz and it was a hit, especially with the younger audience. Up-and-coming entrepreneurs, as well as seasoned professionals, benefited from Prashant’s extensive and varied business experience, and now you can, too!

“Breathing: The overlooked superpower”

During this year’s #STCFestival, Daniel Skoblar helped us unlock the superpower we’re all capable of utilizing to our benefit: breathing. Being the first certified Wim Hof Method Instructor in Croatia there was no one better than Daniel to help us become superheroes in our own right.

And now, even if you’ve missed being present live, you also can unlock your naturally given superpower!

“Data-driven culture as a key success factor”

Omer Chehmer arrived at our Festival all the way from Israel to step onto the stage and deliver this lecture about achieving success through a data-driven culture. A passionate entrepreneur and product manager with extensive experience, Omer is also the co-founder of Bookaway Group, a platform that sells bus, ferry, and train tickets.

Interesting to note is that Bookaway’s connection with Split came as a (very nice!) consequence of their acquisition of GetByBus.

“Creativity, Entrepreneurship, and Hard Work”

The program of the International Day concluded with Suren’s interesting lecture that brought Split some Silicon Valley spirit! Being a serial entrepreneur at heart, Suren Markosian has successfully built and scaled several large consumer businesses in Silicon Valley, including Epic! – the largest digital reading platform for kids.

In addition to his entrepreneurial successes, he had some very interesting insights and stories to share with us!

Quality over quantity and community as the most important thing

While setting up this Festival program, we tried to take into account the variety of our audience and make sure there will be something interesting for every single one of you. According to the feedback we got during the #STCFestival and immediately after, we have succeeded in our intentions. 😀

And since our Festival of Technology and Entrepreneurship is a community event created by the community for the community, it made sense to share all its content with everyone this way.

We want you to be inspired and learn something new!

And if you find what we do to be “up your alley”, subscribing to our YouTube channel is easy! As well as sharing this article with your family, friends, acquaintances, and online networks. 🙂

Enjoy the (online) Festival vibe and help us spread the #STCFestival magic by sharing it!

Researching is woven into my DNA, but I am a musician at heart. Interested in too many things and always curious. Forever in love with Split and enchanted by people who teach me new things. When I am not creating content about Split's tech community, you will find me in singing rehearsals, somewhere in nature, in the theater, or with my head stuck in a book. I do my best to live by the verse from the opera "Fedora" by Umberto Giordano: "Love forbids you not to love."
