23.01.2023.

You’re already familiar with Sara Dyson and her story from the podcast interview we did with her about moving to Croatia and starting her business here – the well-known Expat in Croatia.

What you might have missed is the way Sara and the rest of the Expat in Croatia team celebrate female entrepreneurship!

In 2022 they celebrated Women’s Month throughout March and not just on Women’s Day which is celebrated worldwide on March 8th. Their goal was to highlight the work and pay tribute to numerous incredible women across Croatia.

Expat in Croatia is in itself a woman-run business with most of the employees also women, so it comes as no surprise that they are invested in this project in 2023, as well.

A whole month dedicated to female entrepreneurship – what’s not to love?! 😀

In 2023, the Expat in Croatia team plans to celebrate Women’s Month in two ways – through online content on their platform and with other activities. What we plan to do is join in on this celebration of female entrepreneurship with a Women in Tech event!

And while this initiative expanded March 8th to the entire month of March, why not make it a year? Let’s celebrate female entrepreneurship and women in ICT and STEM year-round!

Researching is woven into my DNA, but I am a musician at heart. Interested in too many things and always curious. Forever in love with Split and enchanted by people who teach me new things. When I am not creating content about Split's tech community, you will find me in singing rehearsals, somewhere in nature, in the theater, or with my head stuck in a book. I do my best to live by the verse from the opera "Fedora" by Umberto Giordano: "Love forbids you not to love."
