Development Agency Split – RaST d.o.o. invites you to a free workshop: How to Read Financial Statements?

The workshops are intended for individuals with no prior entrepreneurial experience, beginner entrepreneurs, or those planning to start their own business, as well as experienced entrepreneurs who wish to enhance their knowledge and skills on specific topics.

Before registering, it is important to know:

Participants who are unable to attend must notify us at least 3 days before the scheduled date. If you fail to inform us of your absence and have registered for multiple workshops, we will consider that you have withdrawn from all other workshops as well.

The workshop starts at 9 AM and lasts until 2 PM.

Workshop Content:
1. Introduction to fundamental financial statements
2. Which reports do micro and small entrepreneurs need to submit?
3. How to read a Balance Sheet?
4. How to read a Profit and Loss Statement?
5. Why are notes to financial statements important?
6. Analysis of the balance sheet and profit and loss statement through a real-life example
7. What do performance indicators reveal about a business?

What to Expect from the Workshop:
– Understanding basic financial concepts
– Understanding the differences between financial statements
– Gaining fundamental knowledge for reading and interpreting financial statements
– Familiarization with key business performance indicators
– A certificate of participation

About the Lecturer: Prof. Dr. Sc. Željana Aljinović Barać

She is a full professor with permanent tenure at the Department of Accounting and Auditing at the Faculty of Economics in Split. Her field of expertise includes financial accounting, accounting for sole proprietors, and cash flow accounting, which she teaches at undergraduate, graduate, and specialized professional studies. She is the author of several lifelong learning and adult education programs in the field of financial operations for entrepreneurs and sole proprietors.

She has been a long-time member of the Main Committee and collaborator of the Croatian Accountants Association, where she participates as a lecturer in certification programs for Certified Accountants and Certified Forensic Accountants.
