What does it look like when you decide to start from zero, without a safety net, and pour everything you have into your own vision? That’s exactly the story of Dominik Metličić.

His journey began driving for Uber. He borrowed money from his parents, bought a car, worked day and night, and every euro he earned he invested into paying off debt and building a small financial cushion.

That period wasn’t just about the job; it was also a kind of life school: while driving others, he listened to their stories and learned how important it is to take initiative and create something of your own.

Simultaneously, he gained experience in corporate marketing departments and learned how the corporate world works.

But after five years, he realized that what drove him wasn’t a secure career, but the desire for freedom and the creation of his own value. Inspired by the book Sell Like Crazy, he decided to specialize in email marketing.

Rationally and methodically, armed with savings mostly earned through Uber, he quit and began working independently. Yet the start wasn’t easy: he was left without steady income and without a single client. At that moment, he could have given up, but he chose to keep investing.

When all was said and done, in just a few years, he had invested over $25,000 in education, coaching, and mentorship. It was a risk, but it turned out to be the best decision, because it gave him a clear vision and the creation of a “category of one” brand, a position where he essentially had no real competition.

Today, Dominik leads a team and collaborators, and his company doesn’t just offer email marketing, it provides full funnel development consulting.

From his experience, he knows the road is tough, but also that the greatest leverage in business comes from willingness to invest in oneself and one’s ideas.
