The success of the first Split Tech City DEV Night

The end of March was reserved for the Split Tech City event intended for all developers – DEV Night. Held at the MKC Amphitheater, this event, aimed at developers of all experience levels, attracted more than 100 visitors with its rich program.

The program of this first DEV Night was held in Croatian, but it is not excluded that we might even witness a language change during future events of this kind. 😉

During DEV Night the audience enjoyed the following program:

lecture by Ivo Lukač – Learn to Appreciate Legacy
lecture by Antonio Šerić – AI and Programming
panel discussion featuring Ante Dagelić, Ivana Skelić, Nenad Kovačević, Dragan Rapić – Challenges in Developing a Developer’s Career
lecture by Vedran Jukić – Reproducible Development Environments

The program was spiced up by two networking sessions with drinks poured by the Tap B crew and great music by DJ Matthew Bee guaranteeing quality networking. 😀

The confirmation of the excellent atmosphere came in the form of the impressions we got from the attendees. Ivana Skelić shared the following with us: “The amphitheater of MKC has a special atmosphere, and in combination with the full auditorium, excellent fellow panelists, and a fantastic moderator, the panel was really a superb experience!”

While Ante Dagelić had this to say: “The atmosphere at the first DEV Night was great, and the audience was large and interested! The most interesting part was listening to comments and questions from the audience – young people who want to learn, but also older ones who agree with the presented struggles of the lecturers and panelists. I hope the new DEV Night will happen soon!”
