Members of the Split Tech City community include numerous smaller and larger technology companies from Split, as well as international corporations with branches in our city. Our members also include companies that use technology in their operations, such as digital and marketing agencies, as well as companies involved in financial consulting and fintech solutions.

That’s why we are extremely pleased that D28Finance has joined us, introduced by the owner and founder, Davor Žilić.

How exactly does D28Finance make financial complexities easier for clients?

We are a boutique consulting firm specializing in the payments industry, fintech solutions, and transactional banking. In the meantime, we collaborate with various freelancers through the Upwork platform. We don’t have an office yet, but we aim to move into the Technology Park Split (we’ve already submitted an application for the last call and are expecting a positive outcome).

Can you list your past projects and collaborations that you are most proud of?

In less than 8 months of operations, we’ve successfully completed eight different projects with our clients.

These include:

• Risk management control framework development for a Swedish FinTech start-up
• Identification of a new payment processor for a multinational digital marketing agency
• Alternative Payment Method (APM) market research and selection for an international platform client
• Support provided to a US blockchain infrastructure company for obtaining a VASP license in the EU
• International Money Transfer (IMT) competitor benchmarking analysis for an Australian IMT provider
• Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy development of a payment solution for a global POS hardware and software manufacturer and reseller

I would also highlight that we’ve sent over 60 official collaboration requests and project proposals and have established direct partnerships with 4 companies (Vangwe, Chargebee, ShuftiPro, and Unlimit). Additionally, we secured one long-term project with PwC on Transaction Monitoring.

As the most interesting, we would especially point out the project of developing AML & CFT regulatory complianceand non-financial risk management programs for a crypto exchange that is still in “stealth mode” and plans to begin operations next week.

WOW, all of this in eight months. What technologies make your work easier?

We use various advanced technologies and platforms, such as ChatGPT, PandaDoc, Efficient Elements, Thinkfic, etc.

Our community is a pool of excellent talent. Are you currently hiring?

One additional employee will start in April; according to our current plan, we aim to hire another younger person (potentially in the form of an internship) by the end of the year, who we could also train in this rapidly growing industry.

Why did you join the Split Tech City community?

Joining Split Tech City allows us to network with other technology experts, access resources and educational events, and receive support for business development through mentorship and investments.

Additionally, we want to actively contribute to the development of Split as a technology hub outside traditional industries and create new opportunities for young people to build careers in this growing ecosystem.
