In Split, November is fully booked for design because Design Hub Split, in cooperation with Culture Hub Croatia, organizes Design Month.

Design Month in Split looks like this:

• 09/11-24/11 – Evidence – exhibition by Filip Vlahov (Plančićeva Street 2, PROSTOR)
• 10/11-12/11 – KOMBO Festival of Visual Culture organized by the DVK Student Association (Zagrebačka 3)
• 16/11-30/11 – Photo Transfers in Design 1960-1990 organized by the Croatian Design Society and Platform 9.81 (Ulica slobode 28, MKC)

Cyan Festival of Visual Culture

We are looking forward to all of the events listed above, but we were specifically intrigued by the announcement of the CYAN Festival. That’s why we’re bringing you more details about this event. 🙂

The first CYAN – Festival of Visual Culture will be held in the Dom mladih Amphitheater in Split on November 24th and 25th and will bring some of the well-known names of the European design scene.

The organizer CYAN is the Design Hub Split association – in charge of bringing together a community of designers and experts in visual communication.

The Design Hub team shared the following: “Through our activities, we always try to empower the community with various lectures and exhibitions. CYAN is a significant step forward for the association because, for the first time, we are bringing international lecturers to Split and we are trying to build and expand the community of professionals and experts in the field of design.”

The lecturers at this year’s CYAN Festival are experts from various professions – architects, animators, graphic designers, photographers, typographers, sociologists, and many others. And they all recognize the importance of collaboration on projects to raise the overall quality together.

CYAN’s first highlight – Studio Dumbar

The best indicator of the ambitions the Design Hub team has is the first international guest they announced – Studio Dumbar from the Netherlands.

Studio Dumbar is an established design agency with more than twenty years of experience in corporate and brand identity. They have worked for many clients worldwide on projects that required international implementation.

Their portfolio includes prestigious projects and clients such as Utah Jazz, Branding The Netherland, NS – Dutch Railways, Club Brugge KV, Van Gogh Museum, Aegon, Shell, TNT Post Group, Czech Telecom, Nike, Dresdner Bank, Danish Post, Allianz, AT&T – Unisource, Apple Computer, Crédit Lyonnais, European Central Bank, Randstad International, and numerous others.
