Among the events that in recent years have included our city on the map of desirable destinations for holding top tech and business events is certainly BlockSplit.

It is an international blockchain conference initiated in 2018 by Tomislav Mamić and Antonio Perić-Mažar, with the support of UBIK – the Association for Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies.

The same team, with the co-organizing support of Digital Dalmatia, is once more preparing a spectacle for all blockchain enthusiasts and entrepreneurs:

In addition to more than 60 lectures, participants will be able to enjoy practical workshops in the fields of programming, cryptography, marketing, law, design, DeFi, NFT, gaming, and the development of new web3 solutions.

A special part of the program will be dedicated to startups, who will have the opportunity to present their ideas to the jury and win valuable prizes.

“BlockSplit is, in the true sense of the word, an international conference. More than 70% of visitors are foreigners, and last year we had guests from 20 different countries. We expect around 700 people in attendance this May and are preparing something for everyone, regardless of whether they are experts or beginners,” said Tomislav Mamić.

Although it still sounds like science fiction to many, the fact is that the application of blockchain has greatly expanded in recent years.

For example, just as e-mail reduced the need for sending written letters, blockchain reduced the need for traditional banks and enabled the creation of smart contracts that have almost unlimited applications.

The organizers emphasize the high-quality networking which will round off the educational tone of the conference.

Antonio Perić-Mažar proudly shared the following about BlockSplit: “The idea behind BlockSplit is to promote blockchain as a technology. We do not speculate on the prices of cryptocurrencies, but are interested in startups and products on the blockchain, as well as the development of the web3 ecosystem.
